Salary: Approx. $126k plus super & leave loading

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Manager for our Maintenance team, based at our Melbourne head office. This role will lead our team of Building Managers and Maintenance Coordinators, ensuring Unison’s properties are maintained to our standards quickly and efficiently, and with quality and care for our renters.

Day-to-day, you’ll oversee the planned and responsive maintenance operations of the team in line with our compliance and regulatory obligations, act as an escalation point for troubleshooting and for critical on-call issues, and maintain open lines of communication with our contractors, renters and teams.

This is a 12 month fixed-term opportunity with a salary of approximately $126,000 per annum (plus super and leave loading).

You will need to be willing and able to travel to other Unison site offices including at short notice and sometimes on planned work from home days if there is a property related issue. The role has an after hours on call escalation requirement.

We’re looking for someone who brings experience in:

  • Responsive and planned maintenance in residential rental properties
  • Calm and considered, mature approach
  • Good at quickly building effective working relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal proactive communication
  • Able to work independently with limited direction
  • Able to handle after hours property emergencies, escalate appropriately and follow existing policy & procedure

Desirable:

  • Experience which demonstrates ability to work with social housing renters
