Award: SCHADS Level 6

Salary: Approx. $110k plus super & leave loading

About the role

As the Supportive Housing Site Manager, you’ll lead the day‑to‑day operations of Unison’s supportive housing site, overseeing tenancy management, resourcing and incident response while guiding Place Managers to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred tenancy services. You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with onsite support partners and security staff, act as an escalation point for complex renter needs, and ensure complaints and incidents are handled proactively and with care. A key part of the role is engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including neighbours, police, council and community organisations to strengthen partnerships, resolve concerns and support a safe, stable community.

The role is based at our Make Room office, located at 602 Little Bourke St, Melbourne.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong tenancy management experience and knowledge of the RTA, combined with a background supporting people with mental health, substance use and trauma‑related challenges, applying legislation with clarity and compassion.
  • Experience leading and coaching operational teams, with a people-first leadership style that prioritises wellbeing, safety and professional growth, and models calm, grounded decision making under pressure.
  • Strong stakeholder and onsite partnership skills, confidently navigating competing needs, de‑escalating tensions and keeping communication flowing with a proactive, collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.
