2020 Kensington CommUNITY Festival Postponed
In the interest of public health and based on guidance from Australia’s health authorities and Federal Government, Unison has decided to postpone the 2020 Kensington CommUNITY Festival until further notice.
We know the Festival brings much joy to many in our community as well as visitors. However, the safety and wellbeing of the festival goers and our community is our top priority and we believe this is the best course of action for our community.
Unison is carefully monitoring developments related to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) outbreak to understand potential impact on our community, services and activities.
We urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols shared by public health officials.
We realise that this change in course is significant for the Kensington community, our financial sponsors, stallholders, food vendors and other partners, and are working with them in light of this announcement.
The Kensington CommUNITY Festival has been a fabric of this community for 12 years. Having to postpone the event is a difficult decision as we know that guests, volunteers, exhibitors and entertainers look forward to coming together as a community each year.
We thank the public, our supporters and our volunteers for their understanding and cooperation during this unprecedented situation and for their commitment to supporting this much-loved community event.
We look forward to announcing the new date for the 2020 festival later this year.
