NAIDOC week: Let's build pathways to closing the gap

Unison acknowledges and respects the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land we live and work on.

NAIDOC week, celebrated nationally July 7-14, and the week prior in Victoria, is just around the corner. With it a host of festivities and celebrations are taking place in the community.

This is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

NAIDOC is a time to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. NAIDOC is a time to learn about, and celebrate, the rich cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We all have a responsibility to work towards eliminating the disparity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous Australians.

Here is a series of free events within our communities and some online resources to help increase knowledge and build pathways to closing the gap.
