Highlights
Building Communities One of the cornerstones of the last financial year has been the continued construction of the Bell St development, a 42-unit project in Heidelberg Heights, completed in July 2023. Tenanting our new 77-unit Cottrell St development early this year was also a highlight.
Recently, we formalised a 4-year agreement with cohealth to deliver a supportive housing model at 69 Buckley Street, Seddon, which is already seeing improved support and outcomes for individuals and families.
Innovative Initiatives: The Make Room Project Takes Shape Major work by builder Harris HMC is rapidly taking shape. This unique partnership between the City of Melbourne, Unison Housing, the Victorian Government and key philanthropic organisations addresses the critical needs of people experiencing rough sleeping and homelessness in the City of Melbourne.
Enhancing Our Foundation: Property upgrades We completed 467 property upgrades, a commitment to the safety and comfort of our residents.
Community Connection: Engaging with Residents Our heart lies in our community, and this year, we celebrated an unprecedented level of engagement for the 2023 Renter Satisfaction Survey - with 40% of renters completing the survey. BBQs and breakfasts became platforms for open conversations, emphasising our commitment to hearing and responding to resident feedback.
Looking Ahead: A Future of Thriving Communities As we stand at the cusp of a new era, we eagerly anticipate the development of our new 2024-2027 Strategic Plan. This plan is not just a document; it's a promise to continuously improve and adapt to the evolving needs of our community.
Our journey doesn't end with structures and projects; it extends to our residents' well-being and our communities' flourishing.
